As most people find out quickly, I am a paradox of personality! I am a 35 year old accountant that is a pro figure champion from Sherwood, AR. By day I am crunching numbers but by night, you will find me in the weight room trying to out rep all the boys. I have been told routinely that my laugh is contagious, my lifestyle is inspiring and that I help motivate people to push harder for what they want from fitness to personal finance
I have been dabbling in modeling for several years but began getting serious about it in the summer of 2011. Since then I have managed to do at least one shoot a month with some of Arkansas’s greatest local photographers. Dan, from Personal Images Photography, was the first to shoot me while being in “off season”. This was a completely uncomfortable idea for me at first! Since most do not know, “off season” is basically a bulking phase for a bodybuilder. Since most of my photos where only produced while I was very conditioned and muscular, I was very nervous to be photographed with “extra weight”! Dan was looking for a more feminine softer version of me. Thank God for him making me comfortable enough to step in front of his camera.
As a figure competitor I have won several titles over the past 3 years of competing. My first year I swept the show; winning 1st place and the overall in 3 different classes and the overall 2009 Ms Natural Arkansas Figure title. After carrying home 6 trophies and a state title my first time out, I was hooked! The second year was just as rewarding, winning 1st place in every NPC show in the state, and gaining a national qualification. In 2011, got 4th place in NPC Jr Nationals, won a Pro Card in a natural show, won 1st place and overall title of 2011 NPC Ms Arkansas Figure, and was the guest poser at the NPC Northwest Arkansas Classic. From all this, I have been blessed to do so many different things, from teach posing class, nutrition consulting, contest prep, being a guest poser and of course modeling! I have no clue where this segment of my life will take me or if it will remain more of a hobby. Whatever happens next though, I am so excited about all the opportunities that abound in this industry and how it feeds into my fitness life!
